Every Sunday, people from around the world gather in a live online session known as Weekly Talks with Mohanji. These sessions are not pre-scripted or thematic; instead, participants ask questions spontaneously, and Mohanji responds in real time. The format allows for direct engagement, personal insight, and shared reflection. Over time, this unstructured approach has become a weekly opportunity for participants to explore their own experiences, gain clarity, and deepen their understanding of life and spirituality.
The Awakening Times: How did the Weekly Talks with Mohanji begin, and what was the original intention behind them?
Subhasree T: The Weekly Talks were not planned as a long-term format. They emerged organically after the “Beyond Empowered” online programme in May 2025. During that programme, it became clear that people had many questions, but Mohanji felt it was important not to dilute the depth of the teachings. He then said he would return the following Sunday to answer questions freely. What was unexpected was his decision to continue doing this every Sunday. That moment marked the beginning of what later became the Weekly Talks.
The Awakening Times: What makes this format different from traditional satsangs or structured spiritual programmes?
Subhasree T: There is no script, no agenda, and no predefined topic. We simply open Zoom, Mohanji joins, and people ask questions. Everything unfolds spontaneously. There is no filtering, no hierarchy of questions, and no attempt to steer the conversation. This absence of structure allows complete authenticity and depth, which is very different from prepared talks or scheduled teachings.
The Awakening Times: How central are participants’ questions in shaping each session?
Subhasree T: The questions are the core of the Weekly Talks. Mohanji responds fully to each question until the person asking is truly clear. Often, while answering one individual, many others feel that their unspoken questions are answered simultaneously. The sessions are shaped entirely by what people bring in that moment.
The Awakening Times: How would you describe the atmosphere of these weekly gatherings?
Subhasree T: Despite being online, there is a strong sense of communion. Hundreds of people across time zones experience a shared presence that goes beyond words. Silence, humour, guidance, and spontaneous practices all contribute to an atmosphere that many participants describe as deeply transformative and difficult to intellectualise.
The Awakening Times: Are there recurring themes in the questions participants bring to the Weekly Talks?
Subhasree T: Yes, there are recurring themes that come up regularly in the Weekly Talks. Since new participants join almost every week, some questions naturally arise from familiar areas of human life. These usually span a combination of themes such as health, work, relationships, marriage, fear, and spiritual practice.
On the other hand, regular attendees tend to ask deeper, more introspective questions. Their focus gradually shifts towards inner growth, spiritual evolution, self-awareness, and understanding life beyond the surface level.
The Awakening Times: So you have noticed a change in the nature of questions over time?
Subhasree T: Yes, very clearly. Over the last nine months, as the Weekly Talks have evolved and matured, we have noticed a significant shift in the nature of questions being asked.
In the initial stages, questions from these participants were often more theoretical or based on something they had read, heard, or understood intellectually. Over time, however, this has changed noticeably. Now, their questions arise from their own lived experiences, inner observations, and deeper spiritual processes they are undergoing.
The Awakening Times: Has there been a situation where participants raised their hand on Zoom but, due to the number of attendees or time limitations, did not get the opportunity to ask their question? If so, how is this situation usually handled?
Subhasree T: (Laughs) Yes, very often, especially in the early days!
Initially, we allowed participants to simply raise their hand on Zoom and ask their question directly to Mohanji. Naturally, this created a very intimate and open atmosphere. People genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to speak to him one-on-one, and many would continue talking at length, explaining their situation in great detail.
Very soon, we realised that some structure was needed, not rigidity, but gentle discipline. We introduced a system where participants submit their questions in advance. This helped in multiple ways. It allowed us to manage time better, ensured that more people could be included, and helped participants express their questions more clearly and concisely. Even when they ask the question live, having written it beforehand brings more clarity and focus.
The Awakening Times: What kind of impact have these Weekly Talks had on participants?
Subhasree T: The impact goes beyond information. People consistently describe experiences of clarity, inner transformation, and emotional relief. Participants come from different backgrounds, ages, and countries, including regions affected by conflict. Many report feeling supported, protected, and empowered.

The Awakening Times: How important has consistency been to the success of this format?
Subhasree T: Consistency has been fundamental. Since the first Weekly Talk on 18 May 2025, not a single Sunday has been missed, even though Mohanji has travelled across continents and time zones. As of late January 2026, thirty-seven consecutive sessions had taken place. This reliability has created trust and a sense of living continuity.
Equally important is the consistency of the audience. A large number of participants attend these sessions regularly, week after week.
To support deeper assimilation, recordings of each session are made available to participants. This allows them to revisit the teachings multiple times, reflect, absorb, and integrate the guidance at their own pace. In addition, we periodically organise recap sessions and smaller focused group sessions where specific processes shared by Mohanji are practised collectively.
The Awakening Times: Did the Weekly Talks ever face significant challenges, such as travel, health, or technical limitations, and how were those situations handled?
Subhasree T: There were several such challenges. During a period when Mohanji was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, he continued the Weekly Talks without interruption for almost three months, despite visible physical difficulty. There were also occasions when power outages occurred due to flooding, yet the sessions continued.
The Awakening Times: How do the Weekly Talks fit into the broader work of Mohanji?
Subhasree T: They function as a living, ongoing communion. The Weekly Talks complement other initiatives but have developed their own identity as a continuous space of connection, guidance, and shared inquiry. Over time, they have also become an archive of lived dialogue instead of formal teaching.
The Awakening Times: Looking back, how would you personally describe the significance of this journey?
Subhasree T: For me, witnessing this unfold week after week has been extraordinary. Serving as moderator has allowed me to observe not only Mohanji’s consistency and compassion, but also the quiet transformations happening across a global community. The Weekly Talks are not just sessions; they are a living phenomenon sustained by continuity, presence, and shared sincerity.

The Awakening Times: As I understand, you are writing a book about these Weekly Talks. Can you tell us more?
Subhasree T: The book brings together key themes Mohanji has spoken about, selected question-and-answer exchanges across various topics, and heartfelt testimonials from participants who have experienced real transformation through regular attendance. The subtitle captures it perfectly: Unscripted – Real Questions, Honest Answers, Real Transformations.
We hope readers will pick up this book and get a glimpse into how these Weekly Talks are genuinely touching lives, bringing clarity, and supporting deep inner change, week after week.
