The Awakening Times (TAT): Dear Milan, we have heard so much about you, that it’s a challenge to present you in just a few words. Thank you for joining our festival for the second year in a row. Please share what you found most important about yourself.
Milan Nikolic Izano (IZANO): Good afternoon! I’m Milan, a writer from Serbia, specifically from the Šumadija/Kosmaj region. But, I believe that in these times, the best way to introduce oneself is by striving to be a genuine human being. For me, the greatest success is not about accolades or titles, but about becoming a true human. Life has been kind to me; I’ve experienced a wide range of emotions and look forward to whatever comes next. To live life authentically and fulfill one’s purpose is the highest achievement. I feel that I am on the right path, and everything I am experiencing affirms this. I am thrilled to be back in Pula for the “Celebrate Life” festival. It’s always a joy to be surrounded by friends and like-minded individuals. This time, I’ve brought my family along, and I’m excited for the days ahead. I expect, just like last year, an impressive turnout and a wonderful atmosphere.
TAT: Can you tell us more about the workshop you’ll be leading tonight?
IZANO: The workshop is titled “The Spiritual Path of Modern Man.” Today, spirituality is often commercialized, and true spirituality is rarely practiced. Many people confuse religion with spirituality. In my view, religions tend to create divisions, while spirituality unites us. It’s time to return to the essence of spirituality. Recently, during a lecture in Krstovgrad with my friends, professors Jove Rama and Srba Vrašov, we discussed the genetics of body and soul, and explored what is inscribed in the soul’s gene. This surprised some and frightened others because the message is clear: the human body is the temple of God. When we understand this, everything changes. Wherever I go in the Balkans, this message resonates because people are awakening. We are living in extraordinary times, and we should be grateful for the opportunity to be here now. We all have a role to play, and it is a significant one.
TAT: What exactly is that role?
IZANO: It’s about ushering in a new civilization. We are on the cusp of a quantum leap that will manifest through future generations. We are moving towards a profound transformation. Thank God, it’s finally happening.
TAT: I recently heard a shaman say that the eyes of the spiritual world are focused on the Balkans because of our karmic power and potential for change. Does this resonate with you?
IZANO: Absolutely. The Balkans hold a unique place in the cosmos, situated under the Taurus constellation. Many people may dismiss this, but the Vedas teach that the stars are deeply connected to us. I’ve worked with the Glagolitic alphabet, which is a cosmic language, and have discovered profound knowledge embedded in it. Last year in Serbia, and soon across the Balkans, there was what some called a baby boom, but I refer to it as a “starry golden rain.” Children are being born in unprecedented numbers, even to women who were previously unable to conceive or those over 45. These are signs of the cosmic changes underway, and we are the guardians of this ancient knowledge. We need to embrace this role and understand the power of emotional intelligence in guiding this transformation. We are not moving towards something new but returning to our divine origins.
TAT: You have such a diverse range of activities. Could you tell us about your books and your journey as an author?
IZANO: So far, I’ve written six books and started the seventh, but paused it when my son was born. I now have a new perspective and plan to write books for children, spiritual fairy tales rooted in Vedic knowledge. All my books are deeply romantic and spiritual. They are transformative texts—every reader will experience them differently and gain new insights with each reading. My first book, “Chain of Love,” remains the most read and requested. It begins with a poem, “I Was Told,” which is still relevant today. What I shared back in 2011-2012 is now unfolding. The book has an energy of its own, and those who read it will understand its power.
TAT: Do you have a final message for our readers?
IZANO: The times ahead will be challenging for many, but for the “awakened,” it will be a time of great relief. The sooner we let go of fear, stress, and negative patterns, the more we will realize our true power. We have decoded the genetic code of humanity, and it’s clear that epigenetics, the state of our inner mind, plays a crucial role. Embrace your inner strength and remember: you are far more powerful than you realize.
