Over Thousands of years, the vedic masters have passed on the knowledge of mantras and meditation to their disciples. Some of the most prominent masters of the vedic tradition are Narayana, Brahma, Vashishta, Parashara and Adi Shankaracharya. Shri Brahmandanda Saraswati who was the spiritual head of India in the 20th century passed on the knowledge to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who in turn initiated Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Through Maharishi and Sri Sri the knowledge came to Ananda Vdovic.
Ananda Vdovic
Ananda is a spiritual teacher and has taught thousands of people different meditation programmes internationally since 1975.
Ananda studied philosophy and education and is a graduate of Hamburg University. In 1970 she was initiated into Transcendental Meditation and became a TM teacher five years later.
From 1983 to 1986 Ananda withdrew from society and immersed herself in deep meditation for 2 – 3 years, starting with a period of 40 days of silence. During these years of self-discovery she would go into states of Samadhi (experience of Transcendence, Higher Self) for up to 14 hours at a time, deeply immersed in the bliss of the Self. Since this time higher states of consciousness and ecstatic experiences of the Divine opened up for her. This deep exploration gave her inspiration for her paintings of Divine Beings and a solid basis for teaching meditation to Thousands of people.
Ananda is also a gifted singer. Her albums with peaceful, meditative chanting are used worldwide in spiritual centres, Yoga Centres and retreats.
In 2015, Ananda started her own school called ‘Shakti Yoga Meditation – The Path of Power’. Her first Teachers Training Course was held in Croatia and brought about seven new teachers who now continue to share this precious knowledge.
