Purpose of Life ~ Realizing our TRUE NATURE

meditating

1) Write your goals of daily life… A daily goal…

2) Write the goal of this year…

3) Write the goal of your life…

4) Write the names of your favorite people and why you like them in one word…

5) Write the interest of your life, things which interest you, things which give you happiness, things you are passionate about, things you do naturally…

Check everything in reverse now. Are your daily goal, yearly goal, life goal, likes, passions and purpose aligned?  Do all these things give you real happiness? You spend your entire life trying to create happiness and then you retire. Are you happy in your retirement, and are the people around you or the people you worked for happy with your goal and achievement? Did your search stop or halt after 30 to 40 years of chasing after happiness?

Everyone at one stage of their life asks themselves questions such as “Why was I born?”, “What is the purpose of my life?”, “Why was I put as a human on this earth?’, “Are we a physical manifestation of GOD or someone’s wish?” Answers to these questions have been given by almost every person bestowed with divine wisdom and also by well read and intelligent people. Why do these questions come to everyone? Have you ever thought of it? Who is the one thinking of these questions? Is someone within you trying to remind you of something?

These timeless questions come from the depth of your true ‘BEING”, to remind you of “What you are” or “Who you are” and there is a hidden answer in these questions. I am asking so many questions because I want you to think and not only get the answer from books of wisdom. There is someone who wants to know the reason and the purpose. The one who wants to know the reason is a super intelligent power. Let us understand that power who wants us to be recognized. We could also say “Opening of divine guidance”.

Now when we say divine guidance, who is this divine Guide? Guidance comes to us in different forms – as everything we can see and even things we cannot see. Divine presence can be felt in every atom and sub-atom. Developing the eye to see that is the practice of dhyana and samadhi (Seeing everything with sama dristi or buddhi).

Who is a guide? Guide is your physical Guru, one who helps take you within yourself, to introduce you to yourself. A guide helps you to see the world and above AS IS. Once you recognize that power within you, your real Guru will awaken within you. This is known as THATness, ISness, Now, Divine Consciousness, God, Bhagwan and many other names.

I think once you know ‘who you are’, you know the purpose of your life too, and that purpose is your real Dharma. Other dharmas are adopted ones. They flow to us from our family, friends, teachers, Gurus, books or other sources of words, from nature, animals or you could say that everything in nature is there to guide and teach you. The most powerful guidance comes from the Source which is unseen, guidance which is closed to us, because we have not yet opened the doors to that Source. We have not let it blossom by recognizing that guide.

realization

Understanding the self is recognizing your life, recognizing existence. Life itself has manifested for a purpose and the purpose is to know and live the purpose. That purpose will live life selflessly and when we begin to live selflessly we unite with the purpose of the universe. Universe is selfless. Selfless is the one without body, formless (nirupa), without any quality (Nirguna), Saguna is physical manifestation of God. Our purpose is to realize this saguna, to realize nirguna. Nirupa and Nirguna is to realize no-bodiness. To realize no-bodiness is to realize self without any word, ego, concept, idea. The attainment of this is nirvana. It is our real freedom… achieving Moksha. All your acts should be destined to uplift the wisdom of this universe from selfish thinking to selfless thinking. This means to attain Godhood, to do God’s work of maintaining this universe or balancing this universe, to save the universe from the wrath of evil. Evil is not a person, but is our ignorance which we have created due to our limited knowledge and because of this knowledge we have mis-aligned ourselves with the universal self. This ignorance is within us in the form of EGO.

To recognize this selfless self, which is your real existence, is your real Dharma. Dharma is not a religion, nor does it profess to be religious. We are universally not separate, but somehow, because of our intelligence, we have created separation, only because we cannot see the other end. We cannot see the meeting place of self with real self, and that has created two, which actually is one and is active in this very moment, in the present moment that is NOW. When you create a harmonious flow with the present moment, the entire field of pure consciousness opens up to you. To create total synchronism with the self is your first purpose. That will create peace and serenity by allowing yourself to align your body, mind and emotions. This understanding will generate love for everyone as self; and that love will generate constructive energy to serve the universe without seeking anything in return. It is effortless creation. That is your essential nature. This nature of yours fills you up with timeless awareness, which is your tenet gained back, your divine return gift.

With this unique talent of life you will attain everlasting love, peace and happiness (Akhand Anandam), and realize God as our true nature (Self-Realization),“SAT CHIT ANANDAM”. This can be achieved only by serving self and everyone as self. There is no-body besides me and I am no-body and that no-body is GOD. God is the infinite field of intelligence. You will be connected to that intelligence and again the expression of THAT intelligence is unconditional love. You can express your divinity through unconditional love only. One cannot master, see, hear or feel it. But still it touches you everywhere. It is the silence which is enveloping us all the time to protect us, and telling us to realize the purpose and meaning of our life. Look for who you are and the purpose hidden in that. The ancient Vedic Sages described this law of nature as “I am the immeasurable potential of all that was, is, and will be”.
