Enlightenment – My Journey Into the Light

March 10, 2016 Uncategorizedenlightenment, journey to enlightenment, light
sun and man

We all hear of it. And we all seem to want it. But what is it exactly? Enlightenment is a gift of the Universe. It is that state of consciousness where the ego is recognized to be an illusion. This is received by energy transference. It is received by Bhagavan in India, or via one of his students who has gone through a 21 day process at the Oneness University. There is some controversy over who may give the enlightenment energy via diksha (diksha means a giving of energy via the laying on of hands or a look.) and how it is received. I believe that diksha giving enlightenment can be also given by others, just as Reiki is given by many.

We receive all kinds of energy throughout our days and nights. We receive energies from flowers, and from trees. We receive energy from our children, partners and pets.

Self realization is enlightenment. We have so many facets that need to be discovered. The receiving of this diksha enlightenment energy can help things speed up. It can even bring you into the Oneness.

For me it began two years ago when Kiara Windrider came to the Netherlands, to promote his book, “Doorway to Eternity”. Instead of talking about his book we were all to receive diksha, something none of us had ever heard of. Kiara had just returned from India and had gone through the enlightenment process. He told us that some people going through the 21 day process were immediately enlightened, and others like himself needed six months before receiving enlightenment. Enlightenment does not mean that you become God over night, but it does mean that your illusions drop away and your ego no longer has control. It is as if you have become the observer of your own life. You still have emotions, but the emotions no longer control you.

When it came time to receive this energy I was quite nervous, because it was so unknown. What would happen to me? Exactly what kind of energy is he inserting in my head? I began to repeatedly chant, “I am a child of the light, I am the light. I am a child of the Universe, I am the Universe, I am a child of God, I AM.”

Kiara came to me and placed his warm hands on my head. His hands felt nice and they felt as if they were sinking into my head! After a moment he left and I was in tears. I felt like we connected, as did all the other participants, with a long lost friend and now he was leaving. My ears began to ring and I felt myself go into a heightened state of mind. I was seeing things beyond the normal.

I went outside into the sunshine because the room we were in was dark. Outside in the sunshine I lay down on the grass and then became enlightened. All separateness disappeared. I saw myself in another dimension, the color of orangey gold. There were others with me. I felt and saw all my illusions dissolve and disappear, while the others looked on. I then became All. I was the stars, I was Mother Earth, I was the grass I lay on, I was the bird in the tree, and I was the people surrounding me. I was everywhere. I saw the past; I saw the future while seeing the present. It was all happening at the same time. Each time I came into contact with a person I could see their faces metamorphose showing me which planet they came from. I could taste when someone was drinking alcohol in my mouth, smokers I felt in my lungs, negative thoughts felt like a layer of dirt in my head, a positive soul with a light aura surrounding them felt sublime and free all over. Throughout my experiencing I wasn’t judging and/or sentencing anyone, I was the observer and I observed from a higher perspective. There was only joy, beauty and grace.

soul

I remained in this elevated state of consciousness for two weeks after which my body and mind began to integrate this energy. I noticed that when I was working with my clients that this energy was being passed on. They began to mention that they felt like an old coat had been removed from their shoulders. There mind became clearer. Some had heart palpitations as their heart chakras opened. Others had headaches as the crown chakra opened up. Some saw a gold ball of light descend, while others saw a white light, a violet light or a blue light descend. All of them felt the energy descend throughout their whole body. Most couldn’t explain what had happened, they just knew that things were different and that something had changed. All of them felt lighter, and as if they received more room to be.

The second time that I experienced enlightenment was when I was to give diksha to a group of 18 people. Actually a gentleman from Sweden was to come to do that as I hadn’t gone through the 21 day course in India. At the last minute this gentleman cancelled our session and I needed to decide what I would be doing with these 18 people. He suggested that I give the diksha. I was worried about what others would think. The Dutch are very much into rules and regulations and I knew some would end up leaving because he wouldn’t be there and they would absolutely not accept that I could give diksha. We arranged a time when he would also concentrate on sending me diksha from a distance as he was too ill to come to the Netherlands.

Before I began I was restless and agitated. Quite nervous actually. I felt a presence very strongly in the room where I was separated from the guests, supposedly to meditate. It was the Universe smiling down on me in her wisdom and love. Never had I experienced this before! I felt myself expanding and joining with her. I felt her communicating with me, giving me the challenge to proceed. It would be a choice that would change my life and the way that I would be living it. I knew that making this choice would bring about some negative reactions as well as a lot of positive ones. The Universe wished me strength with my choice and I felt her emanations of guidance. I knew that no matter what I wouldn’t be alone, even during some major lessons that I needed to learn. So, I accepted the challenge and headed downstairs to my guests to begin giving diksha. With permission from the Universe, I couldn’t go wrong.

Once I was seated in the chair to have people come to me for diksha the energy from the Universe began to flow at such a rate, that I was lifted up out of the chair several times as if I were a feather. Was this for me to believe that I could do this or for the people witnessing the event, or both?

Before the person would arrive for me to place my hands on, I was already communicating with their molecules. Within these molecules was all the information about this person. Their state of mind, health, needs, wishes, and their true state of soul. I was also seeing, very clearly, into the other dimensions where the Ascended Masters, Angels and Archangels were. I saw Bhagavan and his wife Amma to my left and right, and the Christ in the middle standing right before me. Behind them many guides were busy indeed. I wished to walk around and talk to each of them, but of course I needed to continue working with my clients.

dance

The reactions of the people were very positive indeed. And my life did change dramatically since this day. If things were moving rapidly along before, they were racing along now!

I feel that when this enlightenment occurs our gifts, our strengths are heightened. Receiving the gift of enlightenment is remembering who you really are. It feels as if your soul awakens. And that is because everything that was blocking it is removed. Living your life from out of your heart and soul is very different than from living out of your mind. You see how everything had been programmed and learned. Your view of the world and the people on it changes. Even though you see negative situations on a daily basis, you no longer have a need to worry about it, or think that you are required to act upon it. If you react, it is because you have consciously chosen to. You react as an observer seeing the whole of a situation, no longer out of a formed opinion.

As high as enlightenment can go, so deep your low can go. The higher your high, the lower your low. But even with such a low after such a high ride on bliss, expect that after integration and clearing a permanent state of enlightenment.

It is as if you need to go full circle. You first experience an ultimate euphoric state of being. Then comes along an all time low. You feel confused, lost, and everything around you is (to put it politely) Blah! Nothing seems to work out right, everything seems more difficult to accomplish, no one seems to see you or hear you. You begin to wonder if you’ll ever get back to the enlightened state you were at. Your body feels uncomfortable to you. Your mind doesn’t seem to work correctly anymore. You begin to ask yourself, who am I?

All things need time to integrate. We first need to work out the issues that haven’t yet been resolved. That is what we place into our unconscious. But now we have a tool that we can use. It is the fact that we have been enlightened, and it is that light that we can take with us into the depths of our illusions that need removing. We can take this knowledge and let it lead us into the dark to light our way through, steadily climbing back up and out into the light. Once returned into the light we are again reborn, but this time, permanently.

You are getting closer to your ENLIGHTENMENT

December 30, 2015 Consciousnessclose to enlightenment, enlightenment
road to enlightenment

You are getting closer to your enlightenment, in spite of what you may be experiencing physically and emotionally in your life. In fact, the more unsettling things become, often it is a sign that you are clearing on even a deeper level. But to your human self, it may feel like you are just not getting it, or you are doing something wrong. You may become increasingly disillusioned, wondering if you will ever get past issues of a physical or emotional nature.

Sometimes when I feel that I’ve had enough of the challenges of being human, of going through this amazing yet often overwhelming transformational process, and I consider going to the other side, I get sad. Not because I am afraid of dying. I’ve done it thousands of times, but, I am sad about leaving. I would miss the little pleasures. And at the risk of sounding sentimental, here are some of them.

I would miss that first cup of coffee at the café in the morning. I would miss that warm ocean breeze. I would miss the cacophony of crickets resounding throughout the night outside my window. I would miss my nightly walks. It’s a sacred time for me as I gaze at the stars. I would miss laughing with friends, the few I have left. I would miss listening to my music, those creations that give me so much pleasure. I would miss the taste of food, and I would even miss a good cry.

It’s the little things that, as angels, would make us nostalgic for being physical again.

But now we want to enjoy those moments more on our own terms, with our soul in our bodies, in good health and with plenty of money in our life. With passion in our heart. But a different kind of passion. Not a passion for a mate or a career necessarily, but a passion for life, for just being here. For feeling that fulfillment from the inside. And then watching it manifest on the outside.

We are becoming more lovingly and healthfully detached from the world news, from the suffering of others, even from the limited thoughts that come from our mind. We are detaching from the distractions, all the emotions that tell us we are not ready, we are not good enough, spiritually evolved enough, still searching, still learning, still needing challenges. From fears that tell us there is something wrong with us, that we need fixing, that we need processing, analyzing, or that we need more lessons. That we need something from the outside to save us.
enlightenment

But we just need more practice identifying with our spirit self, our soul self, and less identifying with our mind. That’s what takes time, and of course the physical body is the last to catch up, generally, with our consciousness. But leave room too for potential of spontaneous or rapid healing of the physical issues.

In my own life, I have had healings of issues of a physical nature that were considered incurable from a medical standpoint. They were healings, not by doctors, or medicine, or anything outside myself. In fact the conditions just slowly vanished on their own, never to return.

So with so-called incurable or persistent symptoms… Don’t ever give up on your body. Encourage it along in this process. It’s transforming in a major way. Try not to over identify with the illnesses or symptoms. It may take a while, but this too shall pass. And the same holds for the emotional symptoms.

Spontaneous healings are happening more and more, and medicine can’t figure it out. Physicians are not able at this time to understand the ascension process in the human being. They can try to treat symptoms, but sometimes when that doesn’t work, it’s time to own our divinity and allow it to do all the healing necessary. We can even remove the word healing and replace it with the word transforming. Setting free stuck energies. Loving ourselves as we are, so that our soul can come in closer and take care of it for us. Our soul has the capacity to do that.

Our body has the ability to totally rebalance. But it is working with the predominant energies. And if our mind keeps interfering with worry and concern, doubt and fear, the body will accommodate that. That’s OK, it’s a process and you are doing fine. Remember, you have been living in a mental world for so long, where the mind is considered supreme. Where logic and making decisions based on past experience are seen as intelligent and good. The mind was considered God for a long time. Going beyond the mind is relatively new. So give yourself a break. It will take the mind some time to trust in the soul. It’s happening, and interestingly, as we stop responding to all the fears generated from our mind, the mind gets a little panicky. And that is because the mind thinks that it can’t do its job of protecting us. It says, “Whoa, she’s not worrying about that serious condition much anymore? How can I protect her from it then?”

The closer you get to your enlightenment, the more stuck energies come to the surface to be set free. Often they are ancestral and ancient in nature. Imagine them as small children who are creating havoc because they just want to feel loved, but instead feel lost and abandoned. You don’t have to figure out how to heal yourself. You only need to have deep compassion for yourself, for everything you are going through. You may feel alone, but you are not. You have so much love surrounding you that if you allowed yourself to feel into it, it would blow your mind. So continue to love yourself as much as you can, and trust this process. Continue to allow yourself to remember who you really are.

What Is Enlightenment & How To Become Enlightened

May 11, 2015 Uncategorizedenlightenment, How To Become Enlightened, spiritual practice, spirituality
enlightenment practice

In many spiritual traditions, enlightenment is presented as the pinnacle of human existence. Its promises of untold bliss, peace, happiness and fulfilment have filled the minds of thirsty seekers for generations. As the mind tires of the world it seeks new pleasures to strive for. Spiritual enlightenment becomes the new ambition.
Enlightenment is not about you. It is surrendering to your true Spiritual nature and becoming a vehicle for its expression in the world. It is an opportunity to make a unique contribution to your race based on your own individual design and calling. The world needs what we have within us to give.

Re-uniting with our spiritual nature is the most effective way to be in the world. The Knowing mind within you cannot be influenced. It cannot be corrupted. Men and women that walk with Spirit effectively navigate the world. They are potent contributors.

Enlightenment is the reclamation of our relationship with the immortal aspects of ourselves – the part of us that is still with God. The mind and body become empty vessels from which Spirit can express itself.
Enlightenment is real but it has been grossly misunderstood. It is not about feeling good. It is all about giving. What gifts have you brought with you? Undertaking a spiritual practice that you did not invent for yourself is the best means of living a sacred life of contribution.

Now that you’ve read about what is enlightenment, the question surely arises: “How do I become enlightened?”

enighten your mindOnly Spirit can take you to Spirit. You cannot become enlightened through sheer force of will.  Yes, you can set the stage. Of course you can prepare.  However, this can never take you the whole way.

Enlightenment is about reclaiming your most fundamental relationship and becoming a vehicle for its expression in the world. It is all about relationship. It cannot be done alone. When the time is right your Spirit will move you to undertake a spiritual practice. If it is a true practice and one that is right for you, it will take you to new places. It will prepare you for living the sacred life.

Still think you can do it alone? Have you crafted your own special spiritual practice out of a hodge podge of ideas from various traditions? Be careful here. If you go it alone and do as you feel is best, you’ll stay exactly where you are. Take a chance. Feel your Spirit out. Which practice is closest to your heart?

Humanity has a rich spiritual tradition. There are many genuine spiritual practices to choose from. Applying yourself to your practice in a consistent manner will increase your desire and capacity for Spirit. It will create a space within yourself for something new to emerge. Strength and self-honesty is an absolute must here. You must be willing to correct or let go of any behavior standing in your way.  As your Spirit takes you to greater heights it will be natural for you to let such things go, but this can take a very long time.

Like a gardener preparing the grounds for planting season, you are setting the stage for something special to happen. When the conditions within you are right and the world calls out for your gifts, your Spirit will activate you. Like a seed bursting with life, it will begin a great process of inner growth and transformation. You are not in control here. You can only watch in awe and make sure the conditions on the ground stay favorable. An ancient part of you is emerging.
An enlightened person becomes a translator between Heaven and Earth. The world needs your contribution. You are a small but vital part of a very great plan. Enlightenment can no longer be a special state reserved for certain adept individuals. You are reading this because a part of you knows this. A part of you yearns for a greater life. If you seek a happy life of spiritual intoxication, you will merely be strengthening  one more of the mind’s many ambitions. Become a contributor and you will transcend your humanity to help uplift the human race. The choice is clear. Nasi novare coram.

A Spiritual Growth Guide: From Trying to Just Being

February 4, 2015 Uncategorizedawareness, being, enlightenment, grace, liberation, spiritual growth, spiritual trip

How do we make the shift from “trying Oh so hard” to “just being”? In one common group counseling session, I noticed a recurring theme during the question-answer sessions, and it’s the same in all such group sessions. People ask: “please help me overcome anger”, and “in spite of resolving not to mind my wife’s nagging, I lose my temper after listening to her for some time,” and “I feel good for a few days after I attend your session and try to be joyful and happy, but I can’t keep it up for long”.

“The great awareness comes slowly, piece by piece. The path of spiritual growth is a path of lifelong learning.” ~ Anon

Does the above story from my counselling sessions sound familiar?

Usually in a moment of rare insight (or weakness), most of us often resolve to shun anger, envy, selfishness and henceforth be compassionate, loving and so on. When the higher calling beckons, we congratulate ourselves and decide to overflow with the milk of human kindness. For a while, we smile at everything and everybody, count to ten instead of blowing up, take deep breaths in times of stress, see the good side of people, and turn the other cheek when slapped. And most often, instead of acknowledgment and reciprocation of our goodness, we find that we are taken for granted and worse, taken advantage of.

It gets harder and harder to keep up the good act, and we reach break-point sooner or later. We then promptly slip back into our original, normal, sometimes nasty selves. Until we attend another of those counseling sessions, to start the game all over again. In the process, we are likely to end up feeling resentful, guilty, useless and unfit to pursue our spiritual goals.

Is it really so hard to be good?

Is it an occupational hazard of being a human being? Are we condemned to go through innumerable lifetimes making the same mistakes, to slip back easily into habitual behavior, incapable of taking up the challenge that evolution throws at us? Shall we ever be able to negotiate the enormous chasm between trying oh so hard and just being?

Oh so many dilemmas, but no easy answers. Since spiritual growth is the only agenda on the menu of human life, we have no choice but to embark on this journey. We need to take charge and do it right, though, sooner rather than later. Just like we consult a map to track the optimum route before embarking on a physical journey, we need to do the same with the spiritual journey as well.

Study the path taken by enlightened souls, internalize the teachings of spiritual masters and listen to our own conscience with sincerity. And take stock of the advantages and limitations of this journey, and how it can be accomplished well in the least possible time.

Watching the WorldSo here it is – presenting the 4 step journey from “trying oh so hard” to “just being”:

Strengths

The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step, and you have taken it. You’ve realized that you need improvement! The very fact that you are aware that you are not perfect puts you far, far ahead of other beings in the path of evolution. It triggers the right process in you. You have decided to do something about your inadequacy – the next step is set it in motion. Somewhere you feel a discontent about life and ask yourself ‘what next?’

You have read and heard about the compassion of great spiritual beings, and you resonate with them. You yearn for that spiritual strength. You clamor to emulate their teachings, and do succeed to a certain extent. It might be only for a week, a day, or an hour, but you have already started earning brownie points! Your sheer willingness to change is your greatest strength. You are now firmly on the right path.

Weaknesses

Oh, what pitfalls the journey has! The road, you realize, is anything but a super-duper highway on which you can zip across at 120 km/h. Why is it that the day you resolve to be patient with your child, she does something which is calculated to raise your temper? Or the day you decide to diet, your mom bakes the most delicious cake embedded with chocolate chips and nuts?

The smallest thing that you encounter seems to challenge you to break your resolve and retract totally. You need to literally grin and bear it to the limits of endurance to progress even a centimeter on the right path. Why? Because we are straining against a lifetime of conditioning, of putting ourselves first, of indulging our senses, of doing the easy thing. Great spiritual Teachers have called spiritual growth swimming against the current. It is difficult because it goes against our conditioned habitual instincts.

Opportunities

Liberation, Enlightenment, cresting the cycle of birth and death, total transformation, unleashing your highest potential.

The journey is hard but the opportunities priceless: the greatest prize of human life and the sole reason for our existence. No less! It’s worth all the pain and agonizing uncertainty of the journey? A million times over. So do not despair and Keep at it. It’s worth it when you reach journey’s end and experience that state of total happiness and freedom.

Imagine a state of peace and tranquility even if it is raining bankruptcies, tsunamis, accidents or job loss. Imagine being in a state of unconditional love towards one and all. Imagine giving and giving and giving – without wanting anything at all because you are so completely and totally fulfilled. Imagine total freedom from suffering – zero fear, anger, rage, hate, worry, doubt, resistances, inhibitions and so on. Imagine being free of the human condition-negativity.

You will no doubt be tested to your limit, and you’ll get knocked about mercilessly but in the end all that knocking will make you emerge as a diamond….a shiny priceless well sculpted diamond.

Threats

No threats!

Feet in the SandAll of us are born to be in heaven by default, and it is open, for eternity! So book your place and level right now and get going. It might be useful, though, to carry a handy guide with tips for the spiritual trip.

A guide for the spiritual trip

1. Never say never again

Never buy vegetables from the roadside vendors – they always cheat with the weights; Never be lenient with your servants – they’ll take you for granted. This is how an average mind thinks; and if you listen to it, it will not let you pursue your spiritual goals either.

It’s necessary to be worldly-wise, but not to the point of disillusionment. You may be compelled to retract from your good intentions once, twice, maybe a hundred times – but The Divine trusts you, has given you a million chances so far to help you realize your divinity – so Never say never again.

2. Drop Those expectations

…of others, as well as yourself. You may be a paragon of virtue, but of course your neighbor will still dump his garbage in your backyard. Spiritual Growth is all about the change in your response to situations, not change in situations themselves. Each situation and person in your life is put there to help you introspect and grow.

3. Love yourself

Be kind to yourself too, it’s not easy to change a lifetime of habitual behavior. That’s why spiritual masters insist on keeping the company of good people and good thoughts as aids that will not let you forget your ultimate purpose in life, and put you back on the path again and again. Reading elevating books for at least 15 minutes before going to bed every night is a great habit to inculcate. They help raise energy levels.

4. Grace

Man proposes and God disposes. The trying is left to us, and being happens by grace, and grace alone. But grace descends on one who is well and truly ready for it, and not a moment earlier. The yearning for spiritual growth needs to be as intense as the desperate yearning for air itself.

So, the path you have chosen for yourself may not be a cup of tea. That is why you need to recognize from which point you operate best – body, heart, or mind – and the Divine will help you reach itself from that point.

To kick start the process of spiritual growth, do good deeds. You might not feel the shift at first. But as outward deeds get gradually purified, the attitude will percolate into words and thoughts as well. Because only in the trying oh so hard will the just being eventually materialize. Meanwhile, don’t get so engrossed in reaching the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey.
